Nutrition and Diet Specialist Pınar Kurt stated that we need to keep our awareness high about the foods we pay attention to in the autumn season, as in every season. Even if we can't count calories every day, we definitely need to keep track of how well we eat. In our daily diet, we must consume all foods containing protein, carbohydrates and fats in a balanced way. We should include vegetables in our diet, especially to protect ourselves from the flu. We should set our daily water consumption as 2-3 liters (at least 7-8 glasses). We need to keep physical activity as high as possible," he said.

YOU CAN CONSUME PEPPER, BANANA AND EGGS

In addition, consuming hot foods such as green peppers and red chili peppers also stimulates the secretion of endorphins, which make us happy. It is of great importance to include foods such as eggs, kiwi, flax seeds, almonds, walnuts, bananas, pineapples, tomatoes and especially fish on a daily basis in order to fight against depression in autumn. Noting that the way to prevent the flu is through nutrition, Dietician Pınar Kurt continued her words as follows: “Vegetables and fruits are one of the foods that strengthen our immunity, especially vitamins C and powerful antioxidants through the vitamins they contain. Green leafy vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, celery, chard, radish, and spinach are immune-boosting vegetables that should be consumed especially in winter. It is recommended to be consumed raw or cooked together with onions and garlic, as they have immune-boosting and antimicrobial effects.
